Four men arrested after man injured in apparent knife attack in west Dublin

The incident happened at around 7.10pm this evening.

A MAN HAS been attacked in Clondalkin in an apparent knife attack in west Dublin.

Gardai and the emergency services are responding to an incident near the 9th Lock Road. Traffic diversions are in place.

There is also a large garda presence at the scene.

One man has been removed to hospital. He is said to be in a serious condition.

A garda spokesman said: “Gardaí have arrested four men following an assault on a man at the 9th Lock Road in Clondalkin on the 31st May 2018 at 7.10pm. The injured man has been removed to hospital.

“Gardaí responded to a call about an assault and arrested four men in their 20s in a car near the scene. The men are detained at Ronanstown and Ballyfermot Garda Stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.”
